Goa has a tropical climate with hot and humid summer monsoon rains that gradually give way to clear blue skies and pleasantly warm sunshine from the end of September, marking the start of the season. The temperature and humidity rises steadily until, in around May or June, the clouds gather and the rain begins to fall once again.

Between the end of October and the beginning of March, day time temperatures typically vary from the mid-twenties to the early-thirties degrees Celsius, with night time temperatures in the low to high tens.

From March onwards, the temperature and humidity levels can become a little uncomfortable, both during the day and at night. When the monsoon comes, temperatures can get as high as 40° C with 100% humidity.
